What Does the Fox Say?

Space:
We watched the Magic School Bus and learned about the planets and the stars. We wrote about our favourite part.

We finished learning about the planets and completed our emergent readers. You can get the link for this book here.

The children wrote about the favourite thing that they learned this unit.

We completed our space web showing all that we had learned.

Shapes:
We finished learning about 2D shapes and created an anchor chart.

We began learning about 3D shapes this week: sphere, cube, cylinder and cone.

Groundhog Art:
Groundhog Day is on February 2. The groundhog comes out of its den and looks for its shadow. If it sees its shadow it means that there will be six more weeks of winter. If it doesn't see its shadow it means spring is on its way. We made predictions of what will happen on Monday and the majority think that he won't see his shadow. We will see who is right next week.

The kids created groundhog puppets.

Animated Literacy:
On Monday we learned about Farley Fox who likes to fish and fiddle.

On Wednesday we drew a fox.

On Monday we learned about Baby Barnaby who played a blue banjo and bows.

On Wednesday we drew a bus.

On Friday we learned about Griselda Green and the Ghosts who go gliding in the garden.
